Proud moments

Achieved ROSC

Effectively used leadership skills whilst being the nurse-in-charge to manage my team of nursing staff during a cardiac arrest. We achieved return of spontaneous circulation within 3 minutes and before the medical team arrived. I received very positive feedback for my prompt actions and correct implementation of algorithms from leadership, medical staff and nursing management.

Defibrillated V.T.

Effectively and accurately identified torsade de pointes whilst in an elevator in transit with a patient, safely & independently treated it with defibrillation as she became unresponsive. Received very positive feedback from medical staff and senior nursing staff.

Acting CNS

Regularly provided support to the Electrophysiology Service by acting as the Arrhythmia Clinical Nurse Specialist whilst they were on leave, completing the role’s fundamental tasks in specialised patient assessment both physically and via telephone consultation which results in patient safety and support being maintained as well as enabling a smooth service without financial loss.
